Job Purpose:

The Field Application Engineer for Automation at Easy World Automation LLC plays a critical role in providing expert guidance and support to clients in leveraging our wide range of products and solutions. This role is responsible for understanding client needs, designing tailored solutions, and ensuring successful implementation and offers a dynamic opportunity to work at the forefront of industrial automation, leveraging technical expertise and customer-focused strategies to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to understand their specific requirements and challenges in areas such as industrial data communication, serial connectivity, automation solutions
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop customized solutions that address client needs effectively, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and conduct comprehensive technical product presentations, workshops, and training sessions for customers to showcase the features, functionality, and promote effective utilization of our solutions.
  • Assist the sales team in preparing proposals, bids, and tender documents by providing technical expertise and insights.
  • Analyse the inventory available and wherever relevant offer solutions considering utilization of the current suitable inventory before procuring new inventory.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to clients post-sales, including troubleshooting, configuration assistance, and optimization to ensure smooth operation and maximum value from our solutions.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Easy World Automation LLC's products and solutions, staying updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to maintain expertise in relevant domains.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and product development, in producing high-quality case studies, white papers, newsletters, and other collateral materials to address client needs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, manuals, and technical specifications to support client understanding and usage of our products and solutions.
  • Create and Maintain the Reports to log and track their work, activities and services provided to internal teams and customers.
  • Participate in network planning sessions with customers, offering guidance on applications, usage, integration, and best practices to optimize system performance.
  • Provide on-site support as required by the company, assisting customers with commissioning, network optimization, troubleshooting, firmware upgrades, and device replacements.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to integrate complementary products and solutions into Easy World Automation LLC's offerings.
  • Hold the accountability of the return and tracking of test units
  • Awareness on Quality Policy, Objectives and relevant procedures
  • Collect Customer Surveys and analyse, record customer complaints and take corrective action

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

 

·        Strong technical background in industrial automation, data communication, industrial networking, wireless products and related technologies with the ability to analyse complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.

·        Proficiency in working with tender documents, BOQ, technical, and commercial proposals with strong track record of developing new business with existing clients and identifying areas for improvement to meet sales targets.

·        Experience in maintaining CRM systems, ensuring prompt follow-up on leads and opportunities with relevant and accurate data.

·        Demonstrated success in all stages of new business development, from prospecting and lead generation to proposal and closing new business.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

·      Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, client requirements, and business dynamics with a commitment to maintain qualifications and technical education to support the sales function effectively.

Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

·        5 years of experience in technical consulting or related roles within the industrial automation sector.

·        Understanding of industrial automation protocols

·        Experience with Modbus, Analog input, Digital input, DNP3, HMI will be an advantage.

·        Familiarity with industrial data communication, automation solutions, wireless communications, IP surveillance, telephony solutions, computing solutions, and power supply products is highly desirable.

·        Experience in designing and implementation of WAN, LAN/WLAN, Industrial Ethernet Switching (Layer 2/3), VPN, CCTV, Serial and Fieldbus Communication, Industrial and Embedded PC, Automation (HMI, I/O, RTU), PTP & PMTP Wireless.

·        Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus.
